| Operational Description: |
|
| The ASI-182 DME Test Panel provides operational control and precision testing of ARINC standard Distance Measuring Equipment (DME). When used in conjunction with a simulated ground station (Squawk Naut, ATC-1200Y3, or ATC-1400) the ASI-182 is capable of complete testing of ARINC 521 (860E-2/-4) and ARINC 568 (860E-3/-5) DME equipment in addition to the Collins DME-40. A user supplied Collins 339D-1 Distance Indicator is required for proper operation of the test panel. The ASI-182 includes three cables ASI-18-2A, ASI-18-2B, and ASI-18-2C. An optional cable (ASI-18-2D) is required for testing of the DME-40. See the Optional Equipment section for additional DME test fixtures and maintenance kits available from ASI. |
