| The ASI-CTS-841 Test Panel works in conjunction with the 850W Frequency Plan Adapter, WXI-711A Indicator, WXP-850A Control, RDX-7708/-7708R, and other standard radar test equipment to bench test the Rockwell Collins RTA-800/-84X/-85X Receiver/Transmitter/Antenna units of the TWR-850, WXR-800, and WCR-840 Weather Radar Systems. The ASI-CTS-841 provides interconnection, power, switching, loading, and a pitch and roll source required during testing. The Test panel also includes the 15 test cables and the radar absorption barrel required during testing of the radar system. The included ASI-CTS-840 Barrel Test Set is a radar absorption barrel used to house the RTA-8XX during final transmitter testing. When testing the TWR-850(RTA-85X) the RDX-7708/-7708R must be modified by Rockwell Collins to incorporate additional circuitry required to test the turbulence radar functions. Additional equipment manufactured by Avionics Specialist, Inc. for testing the RTA-8XX Radar/Transmitter/Antenna units is listed in the optional equipment section below. |
