| The ASI-812-1 SSP BreakoutBox (BOB) is actually two breakout boxes in one. The first section is used to help verify or troubleshoot the System Signal Processor(SSP) and the Antenna Control Unit(ACU) of a Rockwell Collins Tailwind TV aircraft installation. The second section is used to help verify or troubleshoot the Ginbal Electronics Module (GEM) or the Fuselage Mounted Unit(FMU). The ASI-812-1 BOB provides breakout capability of the aircraft LRU interface signals to facilitate checking, testing and injecting signals. The Aircraft harness is disconnected from the LRU and reconnected to the BOB connector extension cable. A second extension cable connects the BOB to the LRU. Additional cables that may be required during testing are listed in the optional equipment section below. |
