| The ASI-760 Radar Indicator Test Panel is designed to test, align, and troubleshoot the PPI-4B Weather Radar Indicator without the use of an R/T or radar control (CON). The Test Panel has the capability to receive and display ARINC 429 control words, and to generate and transmit ARINC 429 and 453 data words to the PPI-4B. The ARINC 453 words are generated from the ARINC 429 data received, or from internal circuits which can be manipulated using various front panel switches. The ASI-760 also provides and monitors power required to energize the PPI-4B being tested. The ASI-760 can be used in conjunction with the ASI-743 (AIT -4A) to test PPI-4B Indicators with TCAS capability. An optional cable (ASI-76-0B) is also available that will enable the ASI-760 to test the CCA-4A Checklist Unit. |
