| The ASI-741 Doppler Signal Generator works in conjunction with the ASI-742 (RCT-4A) and an IFR RDX-3000B / RDX-7708B to test the Bendix RTA-4A Receiver-Transmitter. It provides quadrature modulation signals for turbulence detection testing. The ASI-741 is designed as a test instrument for ARINC 708 (RTA-4A) series weather radar systems by providing a means of testing the turbulence detection capabilities of the radar transceiver. The ASI-741 works in conjunction with the ASI-742 (RCT-4A) and a radar test set (RDX-3000B or RDX-7708B) to generate simulated weather turbulence and ground returns, which enable a reading and interpretation of the resultant data on the radar test set. |
