| The ASI-282 Universal Flight Control Test Panel is used to test various components of the Collins Flight Control Systems. The Test Panel includes AC, DC, and 3-wire power sources, meter circuitry, indicator lights and a switching matrix that interconnects points in the test panel and the uut as required during testing. The connector panel at the bottom of the ASI-282 accommodates the ASI-40Y-( ) /440Y-( ) Plug-In Adapters that interface the ASI-282 to the individual unit under test. The ASI-40Y-() plug-In Adapters contain the proper loads and relays for specific flight control system components. These Plug-In Adapters are required for proper operation of the ASI-282. All original Collins 440Y-( ) adapters will also function in the ASI-282. Please consult the ASI-40Y -( ) listing below for further information concerning the ASI-40Y-( ) adapters. Avionics Specialist, Inc. also offers panel meter retrofit kits that will replace malfunctioning meters in the original Collins 980L-1 and 980L-1A Test Panels. The ASI-980L-1MM includes all parts required to replace meter M1 (458-0609-010) in the 980L-1 Test Panel. The 980L-1 must have service bulletin 6 installed in order for the ASI-980L-1MM function properly. The ASI-282-M1K includes all parts required to replace meter M301 (279-0194-010) in the 980L-1A per Collins service bulletin 3. |
