| The ASI-278 is used to simulate ADF bearing signals for testing Collins ADF-60( ), ADF-462( ), and ANT-650A antennas. When used together with an ADF antenna, the ASI-278 can be substituted for the ASI-186 (970W-1) ADF Loop Antenna Simulator during ADF receiver testing. The ASI-278 also affords an easy means of performing an antenna functional check without removing it from the aircraft. The cover is removed from the Tester and the chassis is placed over the antenna. A bearing signal can then be simulated and the ADF indicator observed to confirm operation of the antenna. |
