| Operational Description: |

| The ASI-221-2 is a universal test panel for ARINC 566/566A VHF communication receiver / transmitters. The test panel was designed to test Collins 618M series 'by the book'. The ASI-221-2 will also test most other ARINC 566/566A standard VHF communication receiver / transmitters. The ASI-221-2 includes the following features:
* UUT test cable (ASI-22-12A) for the unit under test.
* ATE connector cable (ASI-22-12B).
* DC voltage and current meters.
* Test points for all UUT Rear and ATE connector contacts.
* Built in speaker / audio amplifier.
* Test Control (ASI-501-3) included.
* Modulation monitor test fixture built into panel.
* External squelch control.
* Switched / Unswitched UUT power input The supplied ASI-501-3 test control head provides all channeling required to test the UUT including ARINC 566A (8.33 kHz). User supplied controls (313N-2, 313N-3, G7406. or equivalent) may also be utilized with the ASI-221-2. Use of the Gables G7406 will require the optional ASI-22-12C cable. |
