| The ASI-770 Radar Antenna Simulator Test Panel is designed to replace the Bendix DAA-4A Antenna Drive Unit in the RDR-4A Radar System test environment. The ASI-770 simulates the motor load, mechanical response, and synchro outputs of the antenna drive unit. It responds to elevation and scan drive signals, originating at the RTA-4A Receiver/Transmitter, by feeding back simulated synchro output signals that are representative of the antenna azimuth and elevation motors. The Test Panel also has the capability of simulating all valid ranges the the RTA-4A responds to, as well as the invalid ranges which the RTA-4A does not respond to. A warning light on the front of the panel comes on when an invalid range is selected at the ASI-770. The ASI-770 is supplied with two cables required for interface and proper operation. |
