| The ASI-743 TCAS PPT Adapter Test Panel is used in conjunction with the ASI-174 (PPT-1B) or ASI-760 (PPT -4A) to test, align, and troubleshoot TCAS modified PPI-1T, PPI-1 U, and PPI-4B Weather Radar Indicators and the ITA-81A Traffic Display. The ASI-743 interfaces to existing test cable harnesses and modification to existing test panels are not required. The ASI-743 interfaces data and video signals from the existing test panel to the PPI-1T/-1U/-4B Weather Radar Indicator being tested. The necessary operating voltages for the PPI-1T/-1U/-4B are also interfaced through the ASI-743 to the PPI's. ITA-81A operating power is supplied directly from the ASI-743. The ASI-743's internal TCAS 429 and ACARS 429 generator modules provide the 100 kHz 32 bit serial data required for testing the PPI radar indicators and the ITA-81A. Four cables required for interconnection and testing of the PPI-1T, PPI-1U, PPI-4B, and ITA-81A are included with the ASI-174. |
