| Operational Description: |

| The ASI-216 Internal Data Bus Simulator is used to facilitate the testing of peripheral modules within the IFR ATC-1400 Transponder/DME Test Set. It enables the technician to write selected data to a particular address by means of hexadecimal thumbwheel switches. Data can also be read from the module under test and shown on an LED display, depending on the position of the data direction switch. The ASI-216 is interchangeable Form, Fit, and Function with the Internal Data Bus Simulator shown in Appendix I of the ATC-1400 manual and is one of the recommended test accessories specified in the Module Testing section. |
